Programs & Activities at the Hub

The Wu Yee Early Childhood Education Center will offer comprehensive early care and education that fosters each child’s unique development. Wu Yee uses the research-based Creative Curriculum, which is play-based and supports cultural diversity and dual language learning. The Center will also offer parenting education, referrals, and other services to help families thrive.

Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco's new Sunnydale Clubhouse will offer high-quality programs and opportunities for kids age six to 18 such as:

  • Fun activities developed with partners like the Exploratorium to help kids get excited about science, technology, engineering, and math.

  • Homework help, tutoring, SAT classes, college prep, and more to help kids succeed academically.

  • Regular gardening and nutrition programs.

  • Creative arts options such as music recording, fine arts, and dance classes.

  • Sports such as basketball, soccer, and baseball.

  • Career preparedness starting in middle school.

The Community Center will also include landscaped play areas, a welcoming courtyard, a café, and space for fitness and cooking classes, parties, and friendly hanging out.

By the time this little Sunnydale resident is four, she could be in licensed childcare at the new Hub. By 10 she might be spending afternoons getting homework help at the Boys & Girls Club, darting from jump rope to swing on the new playground, and taking dance classes in the gym. As a teen, she could find herself researching colleges with help from the Boys & Girls Club staff, learning collaboration from her basketball team, and volunteering at the community center in the evening. The Hub will open many doors for her.
